Terms & Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the use of this website and to coaching services provided by OakLeaf Coaching. By booking a session you agree to them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. What coaching is, and what it is not

Recovery life coaching is practical, forward-focused support built on lived experience. It is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, financial advice or a crisis service, and it does not replace care from your GP or a qualified clinician. If you are receiving clinical treatment, coaching is intended to sit alongside it, not instead of it.

3. No guaranteed outcome

Recovery depends on your own choices and consistent action. Coaching provides guidance, structure and accountability, but no specific result, including abstinence from addiction, is promised or guaranteed. You remain responsible for your decisions and actions.

4. Sessions and fees

The introductory call is free and carries no obligation. Ongoing sessions are chargeable at the rate agreed with you in writing before the work begins. Sessions are delivered online or by phone and normally last 60 minutes. Payment is due as agreed at the outset.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to move or cancel a session; sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full. If we need to cancel, the session is rescheduled or refunded. Either of us may end the coaching relationship at any time, and unused prepaid sessions are refunded.

6. Confidentiality and safeguarding

Sessions are confidential, with the limited exceptions set out in our Privacy Policy, namely a serious risk of harm to you or another person, or a legal obligation to disclose. Sessions are not recorded by either party without prior agreement.

7. Your responsibilities

Please attend sessions sober and on time, and tell us about any medical or mental health condition, or any treatment, that could be relevant to your safety and the work we do.

8. Website content and liability

Content on this website is general information about addiction and recovery. It is not personal advice and should not be relied on as such. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or of coaching services; nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
