Who we are

OakLeaf Coaching provides one-to-one recovery life coaching and awareness talks. For the purposes of UK data protection law, OakLeaf Coaching is the data controller for the personal information described below. You can contact us at any time at oakleaflifecoaching@gmail.com.

What information we collect

  • Enquiry details. When you email us, we receive your name, email address, any phone number you choose to share, and whatever you tell us in your message.
  • Coaching records. If you go on to work with us, we keep brief session notes and contact details so sessions can be arranged and followed up.
  • Nothing automatic. Nothing is collected automatically about you as a person. The site uses standard Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful, as described under Cookies below. We do not build a profile of you from your visit.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your information solely to reply to you, arrange and deliver coaching, and keep basic records of the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry you sent us) and, once coaching begins, performance of a contract with you. Where information about your health or wellbeing is shared, we rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Confidentiality

What you share in coaching is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to family, employers or anyone else without your permission. The only exceptions are where there is a serious and immediate risk to your life or someone else's, or where the law requires disclosure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or trade your information. It may be processed by the ordinary service providers we rely on to operate, for example our email provider and website host, who act on our instructions. We do not share your details with advertisers.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages people find useful. Before any analytics cookies are set, we ask for your permission with a small notice. If you choose to decline, no analytics cookies are set. No advertising cookies are used and your details are never shared with advertisers. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to coaching are deleted within 12 months. Coaching records are kept for up to 3 years after our last session, then securely deleted, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always shows the current version.
